More than 100 seniors from the School of Art and Design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign will showcase their final projects at Krannert Art Museum from May 9 to May 16. The Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition features work across all disciplines, including art education, art history, graphic design, industrial design, and studio art. Graphic design students Rinnell Borges and Natalie Mora created the exhibition's branding and catalog under the theme "Myth of Originality," drawing inspiration from fellow students' work and university archives. An event highlighting Indigenous art, the “Evening of Native American Artistry,” will take place Thursday at the Jackson Hole History Museum in conjunction with the seventh annual Teton Powwow. An annual Little Artists exhibition will take place next Sunday, May 10, at The Lighthouse in North Berwick, from 1:30 to 4:30 PM. Young creators will display artworks based on the theme 'favourite things,' including drawings of their favorite toys, foods, places, and more. Shippensburg University senior art students presented their capstone exhibition at the Huber Art Center, featuring works in printmaking, digital art, ceramics, and charcoal drawings. Artists Luke Lindvall, Gerald Pratt, Kaylee Will, Alayna Mandich, and Lily Bramucci explored themes including censorship, artificial intelligence, horror, and personal transformation. Western Nevada College’s annual Student Art Show is now on view at the Bristlecone Gallery through May 7, 2026. The exhibition features 2-D works (paintings, drawings, prints) and 3-D sculptures submitted by enrolled WNC students, with submissions accepted until April 17. Nita Draut, a 99-year-old artist who began drawing at age 70, is being honored with a new exhibition at Fusion Art Gallery in Parkville.
