A previously unknown sculpture by Alexander Calder, titled 'Stabile-mobile' (1974), will be auctioned by Oger – Blanchet at Hôtel Drouot in Paris on May 22. The small, kinetic work, estimated to sell for €80,000–€120,000, was a gift from the artist to an archivist at the French National Museum of Modern Art and has remained with her family for 50 years.
An original exhibition poster from the 1984 Milan exhibition "Nuova Fotografia Inglese" (New English Photography) has been made available for sale. Produced by the renowned Italian publisher Mazzotta Editore in collaboration with the British Council, the offset lithograph features a striking black-and-white nude study by an unidentified photographer, designed with the bold graphic sensibilities characteristic of the pre-digital era.

Bonhams has launched its annual "Classic Week" in Paris, featuring two distinct yet complementary auctions. The sales showcase a diverse range of works, most notably a previously unknown drawing of Marie Serre, the mother of the celebrated painter Hyacinthe Rigaud. This rare portrait adds a new dimension to the iconography of Serre, who was famously depicted by both her son and the sculptor Antoine Coysevox.
