Amy Sherald comes home

Amy Sherald, the celebrated painter known for her official portrait of former first lady Michelle Obama, brings her traveling exhibition 'American Sublime' to Atlanta's High Museum of Art, where it will be on view from May 15 to September 27. Henryk Ptasiewicz, His Life, His Art

Henryk Ptasiewicz, a British-born artist who became a fixture of the St. Louis art scene, died on October 22, 2025. He moved to St. Louis in 1999, built a practice through commissions and teaching, and in 2014 was invited to paint fiberglass cake sculptures for the city's 250th birthday, featuring figures like Dred Scott and Vincent Price. Top student artists in NPC’s 40th annual High School Juried Art Show

Northland Pioneer College (NPC) celebrated the 40th annual High School Juried Art Show, awarding top honors to three student artists. Katrina Joe, a senior at Ganado High School, won Best of Show in painting for her work "Cupcakes." Ayla Curley, a senior at Winslow High School, took Best of Show in 3D art for "Rat," and Darla Nez, a senior at Chinle High School, won Best of Show in drawing for "Colorful Perspective." The exhibition was juried by NPC faculty members Magda Gluszek and Peterson Yazzie, and each winner received an art tuition scholarship to NPC for the 2026-27 academic year.
