A New Brooklyn Art Fair With a Global Outlook Debuts This Spring
A new art fair called Conductor: Art Fair of the Global Majority will hold its inaugural edition in Brooklyn from April 30 to May 3, 2026. Organized by Powerhouse Arts, it will feature 27 galleries and 17 special projects, bringing together artists and galleries from Africa, Latin America, Asia, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Oceania, and Indigenous nations.
The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) has launched its annual “BRAVO! Listen Up!” exhibition at the Adriana Groza Art studio, featuring visual and written works by thirty-two middle school students. The participants created these pieces in response to composer Andreia Pinto Correia’s orchestral work "Ciprés," following a creativity workshop led by artist April Zay. The collection includes a diverse range of media, from traditional watercolors and acrylics to 3D sculptures made of rosewood and yarn.

The curatorial team for the 61st Venice Biennale has unveiled the details for the 2026 exhibition, titled "In Minor Keys." The project follows the vision of the late Koyo Kouoh, the first African woman appointed to curate the Biennale, who passed away in May 2024. The exhibition will feature 111 artists and collectives, with a significant focus on the Global South and themes such as Shrines, Schools, and the Creole Garden.
