In estate ad Anacapri arriva la fiera del design EDIT
A new design fair format called 'Esclusivo|Inclusivo' curated by EDIT Napoli is taking place at Villa Rosa in Anacapri, Capri, until July 12. The event transforms the historic villa into a contemporary cultural hub, featuring a selection of international designers chosen by Domitilla Dardi and Emilia Petruccelli. Participants include brands and studios such as AG Space Atelier, Bottega Vazzoler, cc-tapis, Poltronova, and Formafantasma, who will also host a talk on July 4. The exhibition integrates design into the villa's domestic spaces, with porcelain, textiles, and innovative materials displayed in a lived-in environment rather than a traditional show. A parallel exhibition of Patricia Urquiola's Hybrida collection for EDIT Napoli is set at the Jumeirah Capri Palace, alongside a program of talks on manufacturing exclusivity and inclusivity.
This event matters because it represents a strategic evolution of EDIT Napoli from a standalone fair into a cultural platform that builds long-term relationships between design, hospitality, institutions, and local communities. By situating contemporary design within the historic and natural landscape of Anacapri, the project models a new way of engaging audiences beyond conventional trade fairs, emphasizing experiential and site-specific encounters. The collaboration between the municipality of Anacapri, Jumeirah Capri Palace, and EDIT Napoli also highlights how design can drive cultural tourism and economic revitalization in heritage settings.
