The Aspen Art Museum is hosting its third annual Pride Extravaganza Drag Show, featuring a competitive showcase of drag kings and queens from Colorado’s Western Slope. Organized in collaboration with the Roaring Fork Divas, the event invites the public to vote for a winner among a diverse lineup of performers including Zen Fatale, Axel Spectrum, and Sapphire Fatale. The evening is hosted by Thelma Thunderthighs and serves as a celebration of self-expression and LGBTQ+ culture within the museum space.
Beyond the main performances, the event includes a variety of interactive elements such as a glitter bar, a photobooth, and a DJ-led dance party. While the event is free and open to the public aged 21 and over, it offers special perks for museum members and features limited edition Pride merchandise. This community-focused program highlights the museum's commitment to inclusive programming and local performance art.
