The Frick Collection has announced it will extend its First Fridays free admission program through May 2027, thanks to a three-year cultural partnership with Louis Vuitton. The French fashion house will underwrite the monthly series, which offers free entry to visitors over 10 on the first Friday of each month (excluding January and September) from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., allowing access to both the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions.
This partnership matters because it secures long-term funding for a popular public access initiative, making the museum more accessible to a broader audience. It also reflects a growing trend of luxury brands supporting cultural institutions, blending commercial sponsorship with arts philanthropy, which can influence how museums fund free programming and engage new visitors.
