Sehwa Art Museum Offers Free Admission and Guided Tours for Seoul High School Students

Sehwa Art Museum, operated by the Taekwang Group Sehwa Arts and Culture Foundation, announced on June 11 that it will offer free admission and guided tours to high school students and teachers from schools in Seoul. The program, running until June 28, covers two ongoing special exhibitions: "Transparent Hands, Moving Colors," featuring 19 experimental works blending visual and auditory experiences, and "Silhouettes of Memory: Form, Image, Perspective," which includes 36 works in painting, installation, and video. Guided tours are tailored for teenagers, explaining contemporary artworks and behind-the-scenes stories.

This initiative matters because it expands access to contemporary art for teenagers, a demographic often underserved by museum programming. By removing cost barriers and offering age-appropriate educational tours, the museum aims to foster artistic imagination and cultural engagement among young people in Seoul. The program also marks the first special exhibition organized since Chairman Lee Hojin took office, signaling a renewed focus on youth outreach and community access.
