Kentucky-based painter Samuel Baltes will be featured in a solo exhibition opening May 8 at Yes Arts in Frankfort. The showcase highlights Baltes’ plein air landscape paintings, which draw heavily from Realist and Impressionist traditions to capture the subtle shifts of light and atmosphere in everyday environments.
This exhibition serves a dual purpose by providing a platform for regional artists while supporting the social mission of Yes Arts. Proceeds from the sale of Baltes’ work will fund the organization’s trauma-informed arts programming, which utilizes creative engagement to combat substance misuse and support recovery within the local community.
